The scheme is managed by the Sussex Sports Partnership, a partnership between the University
of Brighton, Sport England, Brighton & Hove Unitary Council, East and
West Sussex County Councils, all 12 Sussex Local Authorities and the
sports organisations of Sussex.

The Partnership was formed in October 2000 with a mission is to
increase participation, retention and progression in sport. An
emphasis is also placed on the development of leadership and
coaching skills at all levels in conjunction with supporting
and developing volunteers throughout Sussex.
